Neil Sipe

Neil Sipe is an Honorary Professor of Planning in the School of Architecture, Design and Planning at the University of Queensland. He previously was Director of the Town Planning Program at the University of Queensland, Associate Director of Griffith University’s Urban Research Program, and Head of Griffith University’s School of Urban and Environmental Planning. He holds a PhD in urban and regional planning from Florida State University (USA). Before coming to Australia in 1998, he was an investment banker and economic consultant. His research interests include transport and land use planning, natural resource management, and international comparisons of planning systems.
